Hello. My name is Michele Christy, and I have proudly called West Deptford home for 40 years. As an elementary school teacher, I bring a unique perspective to our educational community. My husband, three children, and our chocolate lab puppy complete our family. This past June, my oldest daughter graduated from our high school, while my middle daughter will be a junior there, and my son will be entering 8th grade at the middle school.
I am running for the Board of Education with a clear purpose, driven by my deep commitment to our students and schools.
My priorities are three-fold:
First, I am dedicated to ensuring the proper and transparent allocation of all referendum funds, maximizing their impact on our educational facilities and programs.
Second, I believe strongly in fostering complete transparency and open communication between the administration and the school board, ensuring informed decision-making that benefits our entire district.
Third, I will advocate for the hiring of highly qualified and experienced professionals, confident that strong leadership and dedicated staff are essential to our students’ success.
My campaign is not driven by any political agenda. Instead, it is firmly rooted in my professional experience as an educator and my personal experience as a parent invested in our schools. I genuinely want what is best for the children of West Deptford. Together, let’s be Real, Ready, and Relatable to serve our community.
